Under the guidance of SPFHS Girls Head Coach Robert Rafferty and Assistant Coach Ryan McKenna campers will have the opportunity to learn and practice the basic skills of lacrosse: cradling, passing, catching, shooting, ground balls, and offensive/defensive strategies also campers will have the opportunity to participate in instructional and competitive games. THERE WILL BE A REVERSIBLE JERSEY FOR EACH CAMPER

*All campers are required to bring their own stick, goggles and mouthguard.

Parents & Players,

We are happy to announce that we will be running our youth (current 2nd - 8th grade boys) lacrosse camp this summer. The full day (9:00am - 2:00pm) camp will be held at Scotch Plains High School on July 22nd-25th. This camp will be setup a little different. Half of the camp will be skills and drills and the second half will be set up as a tournament. The athletes will be separated by age and playing ability and will be put on a team that they will stay on throughout the week. The second half of this camp will teach the players real game like situations and how to play as a team. Each team will have a qualified coach that will stay with their team throughout the week and each coach will fill out a camper evaluation that will indicate what the player needs to improve on to get better.

There will be a camp store that will sell water/gatorade and snacks.

There will also be someone stringing sticks all week for anyone that needs it.

We also will order pizza for lunch every day for any camper that would rather not bring their own ($5 for 2 slices of pizza and a water or $20 for the week).

Each camper will receive a reversible piney and there will be give-a-ways all week.

All campers need to have full equipment (helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, arm pads, stick, cleats, and athletic supporter)
