COVID-19 Update

Parents and Families of the Scotch Plains/Fanwood Lacrosse Club

The mission of our Club is to ensure that all youth in our communities have the opportunity to learn and play the great game of lacrosse. Paramount to this is to ensure that all of our participants are kept safe and healthy. With the COVID-19 situation growing and changing by the hour we feel it is now prudent to take the following steps:

* We will delay the onset of our youth practices and games scheduled to begin this weekend. All youth lacrosse activities will not begin until at least March 30.
* On or around March 30 we will re-evaluate our ability to either commence lacrosse activities or to extend our postponement. This decision will continue to made in the abundance of caution for all of our kids, coaches and families. This will include input from the SPF school district, township officials and public health guidance from local, state and federal authorities.
* We will also continue to communicate with our state boys and girls lacrosse organizations. This will allow us to have coordinated response and actions with our local teams and towns that we compete with.

These decisions are not made lightly and only in the interest of keeping all of our kids and families safe and healthy during these challenging times. We remain optimistic that we will be able to eventually get everyone back on the field enjoying the sport we all love. We appreciate your patience, support and understanding.

Best
Paul Kieltyka, President and the Board of the Scotch Plains/Fanwood Lacrosse Club
